Especially we are focusing about Garments Inspection in Bangladesh as we have number of experiences Garments Inspectors for various types of garment items. Our various types of services for Textile/Garments Inspections are as follows:
The main Purpose of this inspection is the Factory site Inspection. It is Conducted Prior to placing order to the Factory. This inspection helps our client to know about the Factory i.e. whether the manufacturer has the capability to manufacture particular product professionally & ship the goods timely. We give the report to the client along with sufficient supporting photo’s which includes level of social responsibility, working condition, environment, capacity, cleanliness, safety, security etc. of the factory. Besides, we assess the quality of the employees of the factory, review the manufacturer’s general quality attitude, capability of manufacturing products as per our client’s requirement as regard to quality & quantity.
However, if Initial Production Check (IPC) and During Production Check (DUPRO) / During Production Inspection (DPI) can be done then it is possible to detect the defects and point them out to the factories so that these are immediately rectified and take necessary precaution before Final inspection. In this process, chances of rejection at FRI are reduced and everything can go on smoothly and you will get better quality goods which will be helpful for your reputation to your client / international market.
It is the inspection while the production has just started, rather the inspection of the first batch of products. At this stage, we verify the conformity of basic requirements and specifications of the client. Any deviations or discrepancies detected are communicated to the client as well as advised the factory for immediate rectification. It is our professional opinion that, we have observed in many cases during Final Random Inspection (FRI), if any major faults are detected, the entire lot would have to be rejected causing delay in shipment thereby failure of the commitments of our clients to their customers. Further, if major defects are found at the time of FRI and shipped without any corrections or rectifications of the defects for effecting shipment as per schedule, it would hamper and jeopardize the client’s reputation and goodwill in the market. So, if PPI could be done then it would possible to detect the defects at the primary stage and by pointing out to the factory for rectification, problem could be solved. In this way, chances of rejection during FRI becomes almost nil and shipment can be made smoothly. By highlighting the advantage of doing PPI to our clients, we have been able to convince many of our clients to do PPI of their Imported Goods and they are now being benefitted.
It is the inspection at different stages in between start and finish of the total process. Number of interventions depends on how the factory is rectifying the defects & deviations which we detected during each previous interventions of DPI. At each stage of DPI we verify and ensure that the factory has taken all measures to rectify the defects and deviations which were detected during previous interventions of DPI to maintain the average quality standard of the production flow.
It is our humble professional opinion that when only Final Random Inspection (FRI) / Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) are carried out the chances of rejection remain quite higher. Because most of the vendor/factory are not used to meet international quality standard. This could jeopardize the whole shipment and marketing / sales programmed for your organization. Further, if major defects are found at the time of FRI/PSI and shipped the goods without rectification of those defects properly to maintain the shipment schedule then it would also hamper your reputation to your client / international market. This type of inspection is conducted when the consignment is finally and fully packed and ready for shipment. Random sampling is performed according to the Attributes Method ISO 2859-1 (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4) / MIL-STD-105 E or other internationally recognized sampling plan or otherwise as specified by clients. A sampling plan and an Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) are chosen.
In accordance with the standard ISO 2859-1 (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4) / MIL-STD-105E. Most commonly AQL 1.5 (For major defects) and AQL 2.5 (for minor defects) are used for special items while AQL 2.5 (for major defects) and AQL 4.0 (for minor defects) is followed for normal / medium class products. However, clients are free to decide the AQL value for their own products. In order to achieve the best results through Final Random Inspection, choosing the appropriate inspection level and AQL value are the most important factors. The inspection level determines the relationship between the lot / batch size and the sample size. Normally 02(two) systems of inspection levels viz, General Inspection Level & Special Inspection Level are in practice. In General inspection levels: I, II & III are in practice, normally inspection level-II used by us unless otherwise prescribed by the clients. Inspection level-I is used when less distinction is needed and level-III is needed when vigorous inspection is preferred.
During this stage inspection of quantity, quality, color and size wise assortment, specification, packing details etc. are checked. If everything is found confirming to the contractual specifications then client allow the consignment for shipment. After having being confirmed by verifying the shipping documents that the consignment is shipped, Inspection Certificate is issued. In all the stages, we apprise and monitor our clients of the development, problems, status of production etc. time to time, if necessary, providing with photographs by digital camera at the quickest possible time taking advantage of latest media connections.
This is done when the goods/cartons are just being loaded or stuffed into the containers for shipment to ensure that the inspected & passed goods have been shipped and whether the containers are fit for stuffing. Besides, sometimes cartons are damaged and stained with dirt, mud, soil or suits during loading or becomes wet if loaded during monsoon / rainy season. Our inspectors remain vigilant about the same during loading and if find any discrepancies will reject the container instantly.
